16-pad drum layout for selected plugins
Machinedrum Module / Machinemodule, 6W6, 8W8, CW-78, 9W9, TR-MPC and Lucky Dip get MPC's drum layout with all 16 pads lit. On Gen2 (Live III) it runs a patched copy of MPC instead of changing the system.
Open VST2 instruments and effects that run natively on standalone MPC and Force, plus addins that extend MPC OS. Each listing links to its source and license and ships as a checksummed release.

experimental plugins are hidden.
Needs SSH access as root to your device (a modded unit). Save your project first: the script asks before it stops MPC, installs everything you ticked, and starts MPC once.
Use the address as numbers and dots (or a host name): letters, digits, dots and hyphens only.
Paste this into a terminal (Terminal on Mac, PowerShell on Windows 10 or later)
It is one plain shell script. Download it, read it, check its hash, then run it:
Open mpc-store.sh in your browser. It only installs what you name, checks each download against the checksum in the catalog, and never restarts MPC without asking.
Same first part, different last word: list (what is available and installed), update (newer versions of what you installed with this script), remove <id>, prune (delete old backups of MPC's settings), sync (register plugin folders you copied into Synths by hand).
Advanced and optional. These change the device itself, so they are never part of the plugin install: the installer app lists them read-only, and each is run by hand with the script shown. Open as its own page
Not for most people. A device patch changes the device itself (for example Akai's own MPC program), it is not a plugin. Read the guide first, back up your projects, and use it at your own risk. The installer app only lists these; running one is done by hand over SSH with the script shown, whose checksum you can verify.

Replaced by Auto exec (use that instead; this one is kept so it can still be uninstalled). UNTESTED on a device by this project. MPC cannot load a plugin from a drive mounted noexec: it is listed but only shows Load Plugin. This makes one folder of the drive (Synths) executable, through a small boot-time service; the drive itself stays noexec.
UNTESTED on a device by this project. Testers wanted (issue #150).
Recommended for a noexec drive. MPC cannot load a plugin from a drive mounted noexec (SSD, USB stick, SD card): it is listed but only shows Load Plugin. This makes the Synths folder of every noexec drive executable through a small boot-time service, with nothing to choose; the drives stay noexec. Tried on a Force with two USB sticks, a plugin loaded and survived a power cycle (not yet tried: an eject without its release command); 0.3.1 also starts after a reboot when an overlay is mounted on /usr (tried on a second Force, two reboots), and 0.3.2 finds drives with a space in the name. Apply updates an installed 0.3.0 or 0.3.1 in place. Replaces drive exec.
Remap hardware buttons on a standalone MPC or Force (an LD_PRELOAD shim: a button can become other buttons, a pad or a screen tap). Pick which remaps you want at install (Force: Mixer, Edit, Clip, Menu and Knobs options; the Mode Menu must be at its default layout for the ones that tap an icon). The author's hwremap was tried on an MPC Live (Hakai, MPC 3.9.1) and a Force (stock 3.9.0); this installer and its Force rules were run on one Force (MPC OS 3.x) on 2026-10-10. Not tried yet: uninstall and the MPC Live map on a device. It does not work together with MidiLoop / MockbaMod's input path.
On MPC OS 3.10 (Gen2), addins load through a systemd drop-in in /run (tmpfs) that is lost after every reboot. This patch installs a Lua device script on the persistent content drive that MPC runs at every start. If addins in /data/mpc-addins are not loaded, it writes the /run drop-in and restarts MPC once. The user sees one automatic restart after a reboot; after that, all addins work. Does not modify the system image. Tested on a Live III (MPC OS 3.10, 2026-11-03): survives a full reboot, five addins restored.
Desktop tools that work alongside a standalone MPC but are not plugins. Nothing here is installed on the device by the catalog: each links to its own release page.

Menu bar / tray app that puts folders from your computer into the MPC's browser over the network: load samples straight from the computer, save projects back to it. Connects over SSH, copies a static sshfs to the device and mounts the shared folders on a drive MPC already shows.
